Two-hour Internet blockade of well-known social networks costs Uzbekistan nearly $195 thousand
Yesterday, November 3, in Uzbekistan, they blocked some social networks for several hours and then opened access to them.
After 18.00, the state inspection for control in the field of informatization and telecommunications (Uzkomnazorat) limited citizens’ access to Telegram, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Odnoklassniki.
According to the international non-governmental organization NetBlocks, for two hours blocking Facebook, YouTube and Instagram cost Uzbekistan $194,937.

Unfortunately, NetBlocks does not list Telegram and Odnoklassniki. However, it is important to pay attention to the fact that Telegram is a very popular resource in Uzbekistan.
Previously, it was reported that in Uzbekistan, one of the largest social networks in the world is still blocked.
