In January-September 2021, pharmaceutical companies of Uzbekistan produced 1.86 trillion soums worth of products.

The Ministry of Health and the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency are analyzing the work done by the agency over the past 9 months.
In particular, according to the deputy director of the agency Alisher Temirov, in the first nine months of this year, local pharmaceutical companies produced 1.86 trillion soums worth of pharmaceutical products. This is more by 113.4% compared to the corresponding period of last year.
Reportedly, the launch of 6 large-scale production projects worth 244.7 billion soums in the industry has helped create 252 new jobs.
During the reporting period, Uzbekistan exported pharmaceutical products for $48.05 million, more by 121.7% than the planned indicator.
