Four members of a family die of carbon monoxide poisoning in Samarkand
In the Narpay district of Samarkand region, 4 members of a family died of carbon monoxide poisoning, the head of the press service of the regional prosecutor’s office responded to a request from Kun.uz.
As it turned out, on October 22, 2021, J.S., a resident of Narpay mahalla of Narpay district, his wife and 2 minor children were found dead in their house without any external injuries.
An initial investigation revealed that they had died of occupational gas.
On October 22, 2021, the Narpay district prosecutor’s office initiated a criminal case under Paragraphs “a” and “b” of Article 259-2 of the Criminal Code. The criminal case was sent to the Narpay district DIA for investigation.
It should be recalled that 8 people died of carbon monoxide poisoning in the Samarkand region from October 15 to October 25. In addition, on October 29, a woman and her two children died of carbon monoxide poisoning in the Urgut district.
