Antimonopoly Committee cancels 2.4 thousand decisions of state and local authorities that contradict competition
On November 22, a meeting of the Senate Committee on Budget and Economic Reforms was held.
According to the parliamentary press service, at the meeting, the information of the chairman of the Antimonopoly Committee on activities of the department in 2019-2021 was heard.
It was noted that, as part of the assigned tasks, the Antimonopoly Committee eliminated more than 14.5 thousand various anti-competitive actions of large state monopolies, market participants and government agencies in 2019-2021, thereby protecting the interests of 37 thousand business entities for a total of 380 billion soums.
In addition, during this period, 2,400 decisions of state and local authorities that contradict competition were canceled.
It also became known that 9.4 thousand factors limiting competition were prevented at tenders within the framework of public procurement, which made it possible to save 1.6 trillion soums of budgetary funds and corporate funds.
An appropriate decision of the committee was made on the issue considered.
