On November 24, the first Agroexpress train arrived from Russia to Uzbekistan. The ceremony of meeting the train took place at the “Tashkent-Central” station, the press service of Uzbekistan Railways reported.
This project was implemented within the framework of expanding bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation, in order to develop logistics corridors.
Agroexpress completed the integration of the railways of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Russia. The arrived cargo proceeded in refrigerated containers from the loading station of the TsNA Tambov (Russia) in transit through Kazakhstan.
“The launch of a pilot container batch of the agro-industrial complex made it possible to test the passage of borders and customs barriers. It will also make it possible to analyze the degree of safety of the cargo along the route and its food characteristics, which will allow identifying and eliminating defects for the next launch,” Rustam Mukhamedov, First Deputy Head of the Main Department for Development of Logistics and Digitalization for Developing International Transport Corridors of Uzbekistan Railways JSC, said.
Agroexpress is a practical implementation of the development of mutual trade between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation, an increase in export potential and an increase in freight turnover between countries.
Now all cargo owners have the opportunity to use the services of Agroexpress for high-quality transportation of agricultural products.
