Doston Yokubov wins gold medal at World Weightlifting Championship in Tashkent
Our compatriot became the world champion in the weight category up to 67 kg.

On December 10, at the World Weightlifting Championship in Tashkent, an Uzbek athlete Doston Yokubov won a gold medal in the weight category up to 67 kg. He lifted a total of 324 kg (144 kg in the snatch and 180 kg in the clean and jerk). He overtook weightlifter Francisco Mosquera (Colombia), who became the silver medalist, by 8 kg. The third place went to the Russian sportsman Zulfat Garayev.
It should be noted that Doston Yokubov also became the owner of a small gold medal, lifting the most (180 kg) in the clean and jerk exercise.
