Public transport fares to increase in Tashkent
The Tashkent city khokim has announced a draft decision on introducing new tariffs in public transports.
According to the document, it is planned to set the tariff at 1,700 soums.
“Ensuring the transparency of the fare charged will lead to a sharp increase in the number of transport card users and a decrease in cash fares,” the document says.
It is noted that as a result of the introduction of new tariffs in 2022, according to preliminary estimates, 128-130 billion soums will be saved by reducing the total expected losses of the bus fleets of Toshshahartranskhizmat JSC and the Tashkent Metro.
