Russia and Uzbekistan planning to increase trade turnover to $10 billion
According to the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Viktoria Abramchenko, trade turnover with Uzbekistan is expected to reach $10 billion.
“In 2020, trade turnover increased by more than 15%, reaching $5.9 billion. Our target is to increase the figure to $10 billion,” Sputnik quotes Abramchenko as saying.
The Russian official noted that Uzbek agricultural products are appreciated in Russia. However, its market share is not high: only 1.1% of the total import of agricultural products and 5% of the import from the CIS countries.
The parties plan to realize untapped opportunities to boost trade relations.
