Man detained in Navoi for trading counterfeit US dollars
A man was caught trying to trade counterfeit US dollars in the Kyzyltepa district of Navoi region.

He purchased groceries in a local market and gave counterfeit $100 to the seller. When it was established that the money was fake, he was immediately detained.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, he had 12 more counterfeit dollars with him. All the fake currencies were seized as material evidence.
PGO initiated a criminal case against the man under Article 176 of the Criminal Code. The investigation is ongoing.
