“The blackout started at 10:57 on January 25 with a malfunction at the Syrdarya TPP. As a result, 1,600 megawatts of power were lost. Other generators were also shut down to stop the resulting malfunction and reduce the effects of the damage. The aim was to prevent a large-scale accident. Because the systems are interconnected.
After that, as part of the restoration of electricity supply, first of all, the Charvak HPP was restored.
In turn, assistance was provided by neighboring countries. The electricity supply was restored in Bukhara and Kashkadarya with the help of Turkmenistan, Bukhara and Kashkadarya, and in the Valley provinces with the help of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the information provided so far, 2 more stations have been put into operation and 75% of the country’s electricity system has been restored. Gas fields have resumed operations. This is a very important factor, because the production of electricity is inextricably linked with gas,” he said.
