Uzbekistan’s potato imports up by 109 thousand tons

In 2021, Uzbekistan imported about 560 thousand tons of potatoes from 13 countries for $132.8 million, the State Statistics Committee reported.
Potato imports increased by 109.1 thousand tons compared to 2020, the committee noted.
During the reporting period, the republic imported potatoes mainly from the following countries:
- Kazakhstan – 196 thousand tons
- Pakistan – 161 thousand tons
- Iran – 141 thousand tons
- Kyrgyzstan – 35 thousand tons
- Netherlands – 11 thousand tons
- Russia – 4.8 thousand tons
- France – 616 tons
