Tashkent plans to increase exports to $2.5 billion by 2026
On January 31, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with projects to develop Tashkent.

The presentation focused on investment and export issues.
Reportedly, a total of $3.8 billion will be invested in 738 projects in Tashkent this year. Of that, $2 billion will be a foreign direct investment. It is planned to create 27,000 new jobs in 2022.
Mirziyoyev stressed that the city of Tashkent has great financial and economic potential, and it is possible to attract an additional $100 million to each district by increasing the number of regional projects.

“Growth points” have been identified in foreign trade. In particular, this year Tashkent’s exports are expected to reach $1.4 billion, and by 2026 – $2.5 billion.
The president gave instructions to meet both domestic market demand and increase exports by attracting major international brands.
