Uzbekistan to reduce period of self-isolation for those who have been in contact with COVID-19 patients
The Special Republican Commission has released a new decision.
According to the document, the period of self-isolation for those who have been in contact with coronavirus patients will be reduced to 7 days. Previously, it was 14 days.
The Ministry of Health said in a statement that the quarantine period is reduced because the latent period for the development of the omicron strain in the body of a sick person has become shorter compared to previous versions of the coronavirus.
Earlier it was reported that from February 7, schools, colleges, universities, as well as academic lyceums and non-state educational institutions would return to offline classes.
