Uzbekistan increases peanut exports
Uzbekistan exported 1,800 tons of peanuts to 15 countries for $2.2 million in January.
According to the State Statistics Committee, exports of nuts increased by 211 tons compared to the same period last year.
During the reporting period, the republic exported peanuts mainly to the following countries:
- Azerbaijan - 348.5 tons
- Pakistan - 324.8 tons
- Afghanistan - 312.1 tons
- Turkmenistan - 212 tons
- Russia - 211 tons
- Kazakhstan - 131.3 tons
- Ukraine - 109.6 tons
- Kyrgyzstan - 43 tons
- Netherlands - 38 tons
Major peanut exporter provinces:
- Surkhandarya region - 793 tons
- Samarkand region - 573 tons
- Tashkent region - 182.2 tons
- Khorezm region - 78.3 tons
- Namangan region - 58.4 tons
- Tashkent city - 50.8 tons
- Kashkadarya region - 50 tons
- Andijan region - 40 tons
- Karakalpakstan R. - 5.5 tons
- Jizzakh region - 1.2 tons
