Date of celebrating Ramadan Hayit announced in Uzbekistan
Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on the celebration of Ramadan Hayit.
According to the document, taking into account the decision of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan on the coincidence in 2022 of the first day of Ramadan Hayit from May 2 - Monday, May 2, 2022 is celebrated in the country as the Ramadan Hayit holiday.
The Council of Ministers of Karakalpakstan, the khokimiyats of the regions and the city of Tashkent, together with the Ministry for Supporting Mahalla and Family, the Committee on Religious Affairs under the Cabinet of Ministers, as well as public organizations, were instructed to take appropriate measures to conduct Ramadan Hayit in accordance with national and religious traditions.
In addition, the national television and radio company of Uzbekistan, the National News Agency of Uzbekistan and other mass media are recommended to widely cover events related to the celebration of Ramadan Hayit.
