Uzbekistan increases tea imports
In January-March 2022, Uzbekistan imported 8.2 thousand tons of tea from 18 foreign countries for $11 million.

According to the State Statistics Committee, tea imports increased by 1,500 tons compared to the same period last year.
During the reporting period, the major supplier of tea to the market of Uzbekistan was China with 6.7 thousand tons, followed by Kenya (542 tons) and Russia (359 tons).
The figures for other countries are as follows:
Iran - 139 tons;
Indonesia - 114 tons;
India - 88 tons;
Vietnam - 77 tons;
Sri Lanka - 65 tons;
UAE - 57 tons;
Kazakhstan - 47 tons;
Pakistan - 22.5 tons;
Turkey - 22.5 tons;
Germany - 1.4 tons.
