Mild earthquake jolts Tashkent region
An earthquake of magnitude 2 jolted Tashkent region at 10:58 on May 6.
According to the Republican Center for Seismic Prognostic Monitoring under the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the epicenter of the earthquake was in Kyrgyzstan.
The depth of the quake was 15 km, magnitude – 4.1. Earthquake coordinates: 39.87 degrees north latitude; 69.59 degrees east longitude. The distance from the epicenter to Tashkent is 158 km in the southeast direction.
The strength of the tremors in the territory of Uzbekistan:
Bekabad district (Tashkent region): 2 points, 46 km.
In other regions of Uzbekistan, seismic activity was not observed. There were no reports of damage or casualties.
