Special Representative of Uzbek President meets with Ambassador of Germany
On May 17, Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatilla Irgashev met with Ambassador of Germany Tilo Klinner.
According to the MFA, during the meeting the parties discussed the current situation in Afghanistan, as well as the prospects for the development of Uzbek-German relations in the Afghan direction.
The Ambassador highly appreciated Uzbekistan’s efforts to develop a consolidated regional position on Afghanistan, establish long-term peace and stability in the country, and provide humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people.
The parties also discussed ongoing transport-communication projects in Afghanistan, in particular, the construction of the “Mazar-i-Sharif – Kabul – Peshawar” railway line.
