Authorities deny rumors about introduction of a ban on birth of third child
Social networks have spread information that from 2023 citizens of Uzbekistan will be prohibited from having more than two children.
According to the Antifake Telegram channel, social media users said that the relevant document was allegedly approved by the Senate of Oliy Majlis.
According to this “document”, from 2023, citizens of Uzbekistan will be prohibited from having more than two children, and in case of non-compliance with this restriction, a fine will be imposed.
“This information is not true,” the administrators of the Antifake Telegram channel emphasized.
Citizens of Uzbekistan were also reminded of having liabilities for disseminating false information.
