Uzbekistan increases import of foreign-made cars

In the first five months of 2022, Uzbekistan imported 13.6 thousand cars from 22 countries for $320.5 million, the State Statistics Committee said.

According to the committee, passenger car imports increased by 5.9 thousand units or almost 2 times compared to the same period last year.

During the reporting, Uzbekistan imported passenger cars mainly from the following countries:

• China – 6,426;
• South Korea – 3,491;
• Kazakhstan – 2,368;
• Russia – 927;
• USA – 122;
• UAE – 71;
• Japan – 50;
• Germany – 37.
