Delegation of Uzbekistan takes part in International Ministerial Conference on freedom of religion
On July 5-6, a delegation of Uzbekistan headed by Minister of Justice Ruslan Davletov visited the UK to participate in the International Ministerial Conference on Freedom of Religion or Belief in the city of London.

Organized by the UK Government, the event was attended by 700 delegates from over 100 countries and international human rights organizations. Prince Charles, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and others spoke at its opening.
At the forum, the delegation of Uzbekistan made a statement on the large-scale reforms being carried out in the field of ensuring freedom of religion in our country, in particular, the conditions created for the free functioning of 16 religious confessions in the republic, as well as efforts aimed at ensuring the peaceful coexistence of representatives of more than 130 nationalities.
As part of the event, the delegation of Uzbekistan held meetings with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of human rights, Lord Tariq Ahmad, as well as members of other delegations, including the leadership of a number of international organizations in the field of human rights. An exchange of views took place on the issue of ensuring freedom of religion and the development of interreligious relations.
