Head of customs post of Fergana airport and his subordinates detained

During an operative event carried out by the State Security Service in the Fergana region, officials of the Fergana International Airport were detained, the SSS press service reported.

It turned out that acting head of the border and customs post A.S. and his subordinate H.Zh., being in collusion with citizens, for a monetary reward carried out the unhindered passage of a large number of goods of passengers arriving from abroad.

During the operative events, 4 passengers, who were flying from Moscow to Fergana, were detained. Allegedly, they tried to smuggle goods worth a total of 276.6 million rubles.

During the investigation, it was established that an employee of the border and customs post of the airport Kh.Yu. at the instruction of his boss A.S. carried out customs control of goods contrary to the established procedure.

At present, on this fact, A.S. and others involved in illegal actions were brought to criminal responsibility.
