As the Kazinform state news agency reported, from July 12, 2022, in accordance with the decree of the government of Kazakhstan, the following automobile checkpoints will resume operation:
- across the border with the Russian Federation (Kondybay, Akbalshyk, Kyzyl Zhar, Nayza, Zhezkent, Baitanat, Koyanbay, Orda, Shagan, Karashatau);
- across the border with the Republic of Uzbekistan (Tselinny and Syrdarya).
The resolution was adopted in accordance with the decision of the Interdepartmental Commission to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection in Kazakhstan.
It should be recalled that the checkpoints “Ok oltin – Tselinny” and “Malik – Syrdarya” were opened in 2017 on the Uzbek-Kazakh state border in connection with the resumption of use of the 25-kilometer section of the M-39 road passing through the territory of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
