Uzbekistan to direct $21.4 million for the development of agriculture
A presidential decree “On measures to introduce advanced technologies in agriculture at the expense of grant funds from the government of the Republic of Korea” has been adopted.
The grant funds will be directed to create:
- a training center for advanced technologies in horticulture - $3.7 million;
- an innovation center of industrial technologies - $14 million;
- a center for the production of agricultural products and its seedlings - $ 3.7 million.
The National Center for Knowledge and Innovation in Agriculture in the Yukorichirchik district will also train IT specialists and highly qualified personnel to develop software for modern greenhouses.
The National Center for Knowledge and Innovation in Agriculture has been designated as the executive and responsible body for the implementation of projects funded by grant funds from the Government of the Republic of Korea, including the creation of a new training center, greenhouses, nurseries and model farms.
