Girls may come to school in a national headscarf – Minister of Public Education

Minister of Public Education Bakhtiyor Saidov issued a statement regarding the introduction of a school uniform for general education schools.

It is noted that based on national values, it is not forbidden for girls to come to school wearing a headscarf made from white and light-colored fabrics.

It is reported that there are some misunderstandings about the length of schoolgirls’ dresses.

“It should be noted that the minimum length is specified in the approved dimensions. That is, it is allowed to extend the length of skirts and blouses of schoolgirls, but they cannot be shorter than the specified length,” said the minister.
