Shavkat Mirziyoyev to visit Saudi Arabia
On August 17-18, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a state visit to Saudi Arabia.

This was announced during today’s briefing by the presidential press secretary Sherzod Asadov.
According to him, high-level talks will be held in Jeddah. The parties will discuss issues of further expansion of multilateral cooperation between the countries. Particular attention will be paid to such areas as the "green economy", high technology and digitalization, innovation, small business and entrepreneurship.
Following the visit, it is planned to sign a package of bilateral documents.
The head of state will also meet with the heads of leading Saudi companies and international organizations - the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Islamic Development Bank.
In addition, Shavkat Mirziyoyev will make a pilgrimage to the holy cities of Islam in Mecca and Medina.
“It should be noted that this visit will be the first visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Saudi Arabia over the past 30 years,” Sherzod Asadov said.
