More than 700,000 children admitted to 1st grade in Uzbekistan
Today, September 5, the 2022-2023 academic year began in 10,085 schools of the Ministry of Public Education.
According to the Ministry, in the current academic year, 702,000 children were admitted to the 1st grade of secondary schools. They received 12 types of presidential gifts consisting of educational tools, a school bag, and a set of textbooks.
Representatives of local governments and general public, mahalla activists, schoolchildren and their parents participated in the “First bell” events organized with the participation of 6,469,737 students studying in schools.
“First bell” events were organized under the slogan “Yangi O‘zbekistonda el aziz, inson aziz” (“Human is honored in New Uzbekistan”) and were attended by prominent school graduates and heads of state agencies.
The first lesson of the 2022-2023 academic year (“Independence lesson”) is being held in all secondary schools of the republic.
