Vladimir Putin arrives in Samarkand
At the invitation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin arrived in Uzbekistan.
Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and other officials welcomed the high-ranking guest at Samarkand International Airport.
Putin will attend the SCO summit in Samarkand on September 15-16.
The summit will be attended by the leaders of 14 countries. The Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, who earlier confirmed his participation in the event, noted he cannot come to Samarkand because of the situation at the border with Azerbaijan.
