Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan discuss schedule of upcoming events

Today, a telephone conversation took place between President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov.

According to the press service of the head of our state, the leaders of the two countries exchanged views in connection with the recent tragic events on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border. The President of our country expressed deep condolences to families of the victims, and sincerely welcomed the achievement of bilateral agreements to de-escalate the situation.

The heads of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan discussed the fruitful results of the events held within the framework of the program of the SCO summit.

The importance of practical implementation of agreements on priority cooperation projects, including the promotion of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway construction project, was especially noted.

The course of preparations for the upcoming summits, including within the framework of regional structures, was also considered.
