New governor appointed for Andijan district
Bakhtiyor Mamatkarimov has become the new governor of the district.
He was born in 1980 in the Kurgantepa district. In 2000, he graduated from the Tashkent Financial Institute, in 2013 – from the Academy of Banking and Finance and in 2021 – from the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Uzbekistan.
From 2020 to the present, he has worked as Deputy Board Chairman of Uztransgaz JSC for Finance and Marketing.
The previous governor, Abdujabbor Egamberdiev, was dismissed from office in September “for actions that did not correspond to the ethics of a civil servant, lack of leadership culture, disrespect for citizens at receptions, and other shortcomings in work.”
