Uzbekistan receives $600 million loan for a budget support project
The agreement was reached within the framework of the II International Economic Forum in Samarkand.
Within the framework of the II International Economic Forum, Uzbekistan was allocated a loan of $600 million for a budget support project.
A $500 million loan agreement was signed between the Ministry of Finance and the Asian Development Bank as part of a budget support project. In particular, the parties reached a loan agreement in the amount of $3.3 million (grant) for a climate-adapted water resources management project in the Aral Sea.
Also, ADB and the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services and the Public-Private Partnership Development Agency signed an agreement on cooperation within the framework of the Bukhara heat supply system modernization project, for which $100 million will be allocated. It is noted that the project will be implemented with ADB consulting support.
In addition, the Ministry of Finance and the International Islamic Trade and Finance Corporation (ITFC) reached a loan agreement in the amount of $100 million as part of a budget support project.
