“Reforms were implemented in Uzbekistan even in the context of the 2020 pandemic, which helped to ensure economic growth in the country. Based on these achievements, the Asian Development Bank recently approved the allocation of $500 million financial assistance to Uzbekistan to support the economy and vulnerable sectors of the population.
Further reforms in the country should focus on the development and modernization of education and healthcare.
This is due to the increasing of the current tasks in the digital economy, the demographic dividend and the presence of a high percentage of young people in Uzbekistan, the need to strengthen the role of science, technology and engineering,” Shixin Chen said.
