Shavkat Mirziyoyev visits Samarkand ahead of OTS summit

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Samarkand to attend the first summit of the Organization of Turkic States.

The president, accompanied by Mufti Nuriddin Kholiknazarov, began his trip to Samarkand with a visit to the mausoleum of Imam Bukhari in the Payaryk district. He got acquainted with the progress of construction work carried out at the site. In the newly built complex, the Holy Quran was recited and prayers were offered for the great scientist.

The first summit of the Organization of Turkic States will be held in the tourist center of Samarkand region on October 10-11. The leaders of Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Hungary are expected to attend the summit.
