Uzbekistan denies accusations of Ukrainian intelligence department

On November 10, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to our country Mykola Doroshenko.
Serious concern was expressed to the Ambassador regarding the baseless statement made by the representative of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine about the delivery of dual-purpose products in violation of the current sanctions restrictions.
It was emphasized that Ukraine will not allow the dissemination of false information about Uzbekistan in the mass media.
“At the same time, if the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan receives official requests from the Ukrainian side, it is ready to study issues of interest to them and provide unbiased information,” the report reads.
On his part, Ambassador Mykola Doroshenko assured that he will immediately convey the concerns of the Uzbek side and the results of the meeting to the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
On November 9, the representative of the General Intelligence Department of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine, Vadim Skibitsky, in an interview for La Repubblica, said that Uzbekistan is helping the Russian Federation to circumvent sanctions by selling the parts needed for the production of missiles to this country, produced by America and Japan.
