220 newborns died in Tashkent over 10 months
65 medical workers were brought to disciplinary responsibility in connection with the deaths.
220 infant deaths were recorded in Tashkent during 10 months of this year, the Tashkent city deputy prosecutor Ulugbek Mamarajabov reported.
It is noted that infant mortality decreased by 57 compared to the same period last year.
Each case of death was discussed at the medical council, and 65 medical workers were brought to disciplinary action.
All infant deaths are being investigated by the district prosecutor’s office and a legal decision is being made.
According to the results of studies and analyses conducted by the city prosecutor’s office, a total of 53 submissions were presented, and 176 medical workers were brought to disciplinary responsibility.
