Air Arabia planning to launch flights to historical cities of Uzbekistan
The company also plans to arrange the supply of local food products to the UAE by air.
The UAE low-cost airline Air Arabia is considering expanding the geography of flights to Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Tourism says.
Representatives of the ministry discussed the issue of organizing flights to new destinations in Uzbekistan with the commercial manager of the airline. The meeting took place on October 15 at the UAE Embassy in Tashkent.
The guests said that in 2023 Air Arabia has plans to establish regular flights to Samarkand or Bukhara. In particular, flights will serve for the transit of tourists from Europe to Uzbekistan and back.
To achieve this, the company will increase the number of aircraft at its base hub in Abu Dhabi from 8 to 15. The parties also discussed the supply of Uzbek food products to the UAE by air.
Shortly before this, a subsidiary of the Air Arabia Group announced the launch of the Abu Dhabi-Tashkent flight from December 7. At the first stage, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi will fly between cities twice a week, in the future flights will become daily.
