Mirziyoyev congratulates Tokayev on his election victory

Early in the morning on November 21, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

During the talk, Mirziyoyev congratulated Tokayev on his convincing victory in the snap presidential elections.

The parties also discussed current issues of further strengthening good neighborly relations, strategic partnership and alliance.

“The importance of expanding practical cooperation in priority directions such as trade, industry, energy, transport and logistics, agriculture and other sectors of the economy was noted,” the presidential press service writes.

The sides also exchanged views on issues of regional cooperation.
