Jamshid Khodjayev, Denis Manturov discuss further development of trade-economic cooperation
Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation – Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov held a meeting via videoconferencing with Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjayev.
Parties discussed prospects for further development of trade-economic cooperation between the countries. In particular, they paid attention to the development of a comprehensive program of joint actions between the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan to expand industrial cooperation.
The program includes such industries as aviation, pharmaceutical, electronic, chemical, light industry, timber industry, automotive, specialized and railway engineering and engineering for the fuel and energy complex.
According to Denis Manturov, this is an important and systematic document that will determine the strategic directions of industrial cooperation between the two countries in the long term.
“10 industries have been designated as the main tracks of our interaction, specific cooperation mechanisms and joint initiatives have been spelled out,” the head of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade emphasized.
Another important issue was the conduct of Russian business missions in Uzbekistan, in which Russian enterprises visit Uzbek production sites and negotiate with potential partners.
The parties also paid attention to the issues of holding the international industrial exhibition INNOPROM, which will be held in the spring of 2023 in Tashkent.
