Uzbekistan temporarily restricts export of onions

Onion prices have risen sharply in Uzbekistan. In addition, due to abnormal frosts in some regions, the stock was frozen. According to preliminary estimates, from January 20 to April 30, 2023, the population’s need for onions will average 346,000 tons. The consumer market will need another 26,500 tons of onions.
