Another citizen of Uzbekistan found dead in Türkiye’s earthquake-hit province
The number of Uzbeks died in earthquakes to date has reached 4.
The body of another Uzbek citizen who died in the city of Sanliurfa was sent from Istanbul to Tashkent on February 12, the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Türkiye said.
The deceased was a 42-year-old resident (woman) of Namangan.
“We wish patience to the relatives of the deceased. We would like to thank those who provided material and moral support to the Consulate General in organizing the transportation of the body,” the message says.
Earlier, it was reported that three citizens of Uzbekistan died in Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, and Malatya provinces as a result of the earthquake.
According to Anadolu, more than 29,600 people have died as a result of earthquakes in Türkiye. In neighboring Syria, this figure has exceeded 3,500. About 148,000 people were evacuated from the disaster-hit areas.
