From February 15, the movement of citizens and vehicles through the border customs post "Syrdarya" and "S. Nadjimov" will be temporarily suspended, the State Customs Committee reported.
The reason for the temporary closure of the checkpoints is the ongoing reconstruction work on the Kazakh side, at the border posts "Atameken" and "Kazygurt".
Through these checkpoints, only freight transport with a carrying capacity of more than 3.5 tons is allowed to continue moving.
Alternatively, citizens can travel through the Gishtkuprik and Yallama checkpoints, which operate 24/7, and the Malik and Ok Oltin checkpoints, which operate during daylight hours.
