Islamic Development Bank allocates $200 million for development of villages in Uzbekistan
The Islamic Development Bank allocated $200 million for the implementation of the Sustainable Rural Development project.
The main goal is the development of rural areas with the active participation of the local population.
Within the framework of the project, 113 plans have been developed, of which 31 are aimed at improving 160 social infrastructure facilities in five districts of Karakalpakstan.
In addition, it is planned to improve the living standards of almost 710,000 people in 170 mahallas. The road transport infrastructure, engineering and communication networks, and the power supply system will be improved.
With the participation of the rural population, using resource-saving and environmentally friendly technologies, kindergartens, secondary schools, rural medical centers and other social facilities will be built and reconstructed.
