Two district administration officials detained in Kashkadarya for embezzlement and taking bribes

One of the assistants to the Yakkabog district mayor misappropriated 1.7 billion soums of preferential credit funds, the other official in Shakhrisabz demanded a bribe in the amount of $500 for a land plot of 50 acres.

The State Security Service detained the assistant to the mayor of the Yakkabog district, Kashkadarya region. It turned out that the official was responsible for the purchase of building materials for two enterprises, which he unofficially managed. Having entered into an agreement with other persons, the detainee embezzled 1.7 billion soums allocated by the bank in the form of a soft loan.

Another case also occurred in the Kashkadarya region. An assistant to the mayor of the Shakhrisabz district tried to illegally sell 50 acres of a land plot to a local resident for $500.

He was caught red-handed while taking the money.

On these facts, criminal cases have been initiated, investigative actions are underway.
