Gov’t introduces a 50% discount on administrative fines

The law on amendments to the Administrative Responsibility Code was signed by the President in connection with the creation of additional facilities for the population in the payment of administrative fines.

According to the amendment to Article 332-1 of the Code, if the offender voluntarily pays 50% of the fine within 15 days or 70% of the fine within 30 days, he will be released from paying the rest of the fine.

The simplified procedure for the execution of the decision on the imposition of a fine shall not be applied in the following cases:

ꞏ in case of offenses provided for in Articles 131, 132, 136 and 140 of the Code;
ꞏ when appealing or protesting the decision on imposing a fine;
ꞏ when the same offense is repeated within 1 year after the imposition of an administrative penalty.

The law will enter into force on May 1, 2023.
