Uzbekistan delegation meets with representatives of Chinese government in Beijing
A delegation of Uzbekistan headed by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Combating Poverty Jamshid Kuchkarov is on a visit to China, Kun.uz correspondent reports.
During the visit, it is planned to hold meetings and negotiations in a number of ministries and departments of the PRC, visit Chinese provinces, and discuss issues of bilateral cooperation.
As part of the meeting, held at the PRC Ministry of Agriculture, issues of cooperation between our countries in the field of agriculture were discussed, and an agreement was reached on using China’s vast experience in this area and implementing joint projects in Uzbekistan.
In particular, attention was paid to the importance of developing rural areas of Uzbekistan, expanding the knowledge and skills of the population in the field of agriculture, combating desertification and drought.
Representatives of the delegation of Uzbekistan also visited the Chinese State Committee for Development and Reform and held talks on cooperation in areas beneficial to our countries.
In the course of the meeting, the Chinese side got acquainted with the essence of large-scale reforms carried out in various fields in our country in recent years, their significance in the development of Uzbekistan.
Information was provided on the progress made in the implementation of the main goals set in the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026.
At the same time, the parties agreed to cooperate in areas such as land use reform, regional development and urbanization strategy, employment and social security development, and management of food and strategic reserves.
