Uzbekistan and France plan to establish a joint Chamber of Commerce
On May 5, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a French delegation led by Olivier Becht, co-chairman of the joint intergovernmental commission, Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade, Economic Attractiveness and French Nationals Abroad.
At the meeting, the parties discussed issues of promoting and accelerating trade, economic, investment and financial cooperation projects with the participation of leading French companies and organizations in Uzbekistan.
“Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted with great satisfaction the productive results of the intergovernmental commission meeting held in Tashkent and the business mission of MEDEF to Uzbekistan in April this year,” the presidential press service writes.
The progress on strategic projects implemented in the field of green energy, the modernization of tourism infrastructure and utility networks, and other priority areas was emphasized.
In addition, Shavkat Mirziyoyev welcomed the plans to establish an Uzbek-French Chamber of Commerce and introduce an effective system to support business initiatives.
