Emergencies Ministry says one person died as a result of explosion in Chilanzar district of Tashkent

The Ministry of Emergency Situations provided additional information on the explosion that occurred on Astrobad Street, Chilanzar district of Tashkent.

Today, June 14, at 09:50, an explosion occurred and a fire broke out in the one-story warehouse (hangar) of the copper pipe production workshop located on Astrobod Street, Chilanzar district, as a result of a violation of the technological process.

It is noted that the incident led to the collapse of the roof structures of the workshop and the burning of the interior and machinery in an area of 50 square meters.

The fire-rescue crews of the Emergencies Ministry, as well as employees of the prosecutor's office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard, the Ministry of Health, "Hududgaz" JSC and other relevant organizations, immediately arrived at the scene. Currently, work is underway to eliminate the consequences of the incident.

According to the Emergencies Ministry, 1 person was killed on the spot and 16 people were injured in various degrees and were admitted to the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care. Later, 7 of them were sent home as they were in good condition.
