Vilnius hosts a round of Uzbek-Lithuanian inter-MFA political consultations
Another round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Lithuania took place in Vilnius, a Kun.uz correspondent reports.
According to the MFA, the delegations headed by Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Gayrat Fozilov and Deputy Foreign Minister of Lithuania Mantos Adomenas discussed the state and prospects of bilateral relations in various areas of mutual interest.
Particular attention was paid to intensifying political dialogue and inter-parliamentary contacts, expanding the legal framework for interaction and investment cooperation, as well as coordinating efforts within international institutions.
An exchange of views took place on building up cultural and humanitarian ties, in particular in the field of education and healthcare.

On the same day, Deputy FM of Uzbekistan Gayrat Fozilov met with Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis, as well as with Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Julius Skachkauskas.
During the meetings, a substantive exchange of views took place on enhancing bilateral cooperation in the areas of politics and diplomacy, trade and economics, transport and energy.
