Qanot Sharq launching flights from Tashkent to Budapest
The issue of launching direct flights between Uzbekistan and Hungary has been discussed since the beginning of the year.
Qanot Sharq Airlines is preparing to launch direct flights to Hungary, the Ministry of Transport said.
The carrier will start flying on the Tashkent-Budapest route from August 20 on Airbus A320 aircraft.
The issue of air communication between Hungary and Uzbekistan has been discussed since February. As noted at the meeting between the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov and the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó, up to 4 flights a week are planned between Tashkent and Budapest.
Qanot Sharq was established in 1998 and positions itself as the first private air carrier in Uzbekistan. In 2003-2012, the company leased Il-76 aircraft from Uzbekistan Airways and operated its own charter flights.
