Head of district electric network enterprise detained while taking a bribe

He promised to reconnect the farm with a debt of 779 million soums to the electricity network for 5 days.

The Kattakorgan district Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office held a mobile event in cooperation with the employees of the State Security Service.

During the event, the head of the district electric network enterprise was caught red-handed while receiving 5 million soums in bribe from an entrepreneur.

According to the prosecutor’s office, the official promised the entrepreneur to help reconnect his farm to the electricity network for five days which was cut off from the system due to a debt of 779 million soums.

A criminal case has been initiated against the official under Article 210 (Bribery) of the Criminal Code. An investigation is underway.
